Dunbarton Congregational Church hosted a UNH Speaker on Climate Change
The science of climate change and its likely impacts on the New England region was the topic of discussion at the Dunbarton Congregational Church, on Sunday, April 24, 2016
Barry Rock, UNH Professor Emeritus in the Earth Systems ResearchCenter at the Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans and Space spoke to these the following questions: What do earth-orbiting satellites tell us about the current and future impacts of global warming on our local landscape? How is what’s happening today different from past climate changes?
Dr. Rock explain the causes of climate change in our era. He discussed its impacts on NH forests, including his research on sugar maples and white pine.
